His latest album project Coldwater, Tennessee was released on April 22 of this year on the Audium Nashville label. Produced by the legendary Buddy Cannon, the album is a collection of all-original songs that showcases the depth of Dallas’ songwriting and the range of his vocal talent. After four years living and touring in Europe, Dallas returned to the U.S. and settled in northern California. Within one month of his return, he signed a record deal with HighTone Records.

And soon after, SiriusXM came a ‘calling, and Wayne embarked on a chapter of his life that even he didn’t see coming. While touring Europe in 1991, Dallas forged a deal with Texicalli Records in Finland and was signed to record an album. One album soon became six, and Dallas decided to move to Scandinavia in 1996, where he was contracted as a staff writer for Warner/Chappell Music. I thought it was so cool that Stephen King wanted to use Dallas’ song “I’m Your Biggest Fan,” off his new album “Coldwater Tennessee,” about a stalker on his podcast. But those who are still here – I adore, for example, Jamie Johnson. It was his father’s favorite channel, and I was getting reports [about the listener’s dad] All day.

They spent the past year and a half at home and realized how much they missed and loved their family. Then you also have songs like “Devil in the Bottle” which sounds like a pretty personal song. In fact I believe that Wayne put a lot of himself (whether it be through personal lyrics, or just his interpretations of ‘traditional country themes’) into this album. This seems like it sounds exactly the way that he wanted it to sound.
